Programme Outcomes

After successful completion of the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharmacy), graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of pharmaceutical sciences, human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and pharmaceutical chemistry.

  • Dispense medicines accurately, interpret prescriptions, and counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medications.

  • Apply principles of hospital, community, and retail pharmacy while maintaining professional ethics and patient safety.

  • Understand drug formulation, storage, quality assurance, pharmacovigilance, and rational use of medicines.

  • Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations, laboratory procedures, and inventory management in pharmacy practice.

  • Participate in public health initiatives, health education, immunization awareness, and medication safety programs.

  • Work effectively in hospitals, community pharmacies, retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries, quality control laboratories, and healthcare organizations while complying with applicable legal and professional standards.

This curriculum provides a balanced progression from basic pharmaceutical sciences in the first year to clinical pharmacy, patient care, hospital pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, and professional practice in the final year, making it suitable for a comprehensive 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharmacy) program.
